Once you have completed the Visa Tech Application form you must
bring hard copies of all the
documents you submitted in the form to Start-Up Chile's headquarters (José
Victorino Lastarria 17, Santiago) and Trinidad will send these copies to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Follow this checklist to make
sure you are bringing all of the necessary documents to successfully process
your application.

Unsigned Contract
All foreigners that want to work in Chile MUST
count with a permission. In order to extend a contract, please keep in mind
that this should have a validity clause: "The obligation to
provide services emanated from this contract may only be fulfilled once the
worker has obtained the corresponding residence visa in Chile or the special
work permit for foreigners with a visa in process".
In Spanish you should add to the contract the following: "Cláusula de
Vigencia. La
obligación de prestar servicios emanada del presente contrato, sólo podrá
cumplirse una vez que el trabajador haya obtenido la visación de residencia
correspondiente en Chile o el permiso especial de trabajo para extranjeros
con visa en trámite”.

Validity of the work contract
certificate or settlement
This applies to those who have a Contract-Subject
Visa. In order to switch to Visa Tech, you must upload either a work validity
certificate and/or an end of contract certificate. Both documents must be
issued by the employer in front of a notary. For more information Google

between the dependent and the holder of the visa.

Proof of kinship (between father/mother and
child) between the dependent and the holder of the visa, or of his / her
spouse or civil partner.

Statement of dependent care
expense
Legal declaration of the holder of the visa
stating that the dependent (spouse, civil partner, father, mother or child)
lives at his / her economic expenses. This must be signed in front of a
notary.
